In the summer of 2024, Esteban's team participated in the Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix 2024 and the Electrek American Solar Challenge 2024. Following the competitions, Esteban's team returned to Montreal with no less than two first places.
On April 10 at Polytechnique, the brand new prototype of the Esteban Project was unveiled: Esteban 11. Surrounded by nearly 250 colleagues, families, friends and former members, the team was able to reveal this new solar vehicle.
Last summer, no less than 24 members of Esteban's team had the chance to participate in the Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix with Esteban 10. At the end of the week of competition, Esteban knew climb to the top of the podium.
These days, Esteban's team has grown. Indeed, several new members joined the project and the team participated in several events. In addition, the electrical and mechanical teams are working on the next prototype: Esteban 11!
Last summer, 21 members of the Esteban team had the chance to participate in two competitions taking place in the United States. It was an opportunity for our team to meet and discuss with about twenty other universities from across North America.
It goes without saying that 2020 will have been a trying year for everyone. All of Quebec had to take an abrupt pause last March to curb the COVID-19 epidemic. Thus, all our students had to quickly switch to teleworking mode and Esteban's activities had to stop overnight.
It is essential that, in a large-scale project like this, having a high-performance team proves to be an essential tool in achieving the objectives set. Esteban actively puts a lot of effort into this aspect and makes it one of his priorities.
Building on the successes of the summer, the Esteban Project team feels ready to start the cycle again and begin designing its next vehicle, Esteban 10.
On April 23, the Esteban Project team unveiled its latest prototype, Esteban 9.
At Esteban, the month of January rhymes with recruitment. As in September, we try to maximize our visibility in the school to motivate new students to join the team.
